PARADIGM Registry

Principal Investigators : Dr Milan Gupta, Dr Subodh Verma

Status: Clinical trial registration »

The PARADIGM study is a registry that will assess the perceptions of Canadian Primary Care Physicians towards global cardiovascular risk assessment in otherwise healthy individuals. This registry will correlate physician perceptions to actual practice data and evaluate the impact of a prospective education and peer-practice pattern intervention on future assessment of cardiovascular risk. In a sub group we will be assessing the role of carotid atherosclerosis assessment (carotid IMT and plaque) as an adjunct to global risk prediction.

Following the initial enrolment, evaluation and physician assessment of cardiovascular risk, study subjects will continue to be followed on an annual basis to complete a health assessment questionnaire.
